As a candidate for Mayor of Willard, I believe that our city is like a caged tiger waiting to be set free. It’s time to Uncage the Tiger and unlock the full potential of our community.

Willard is a hidden gem in Greene County, with a strong sense of community spirit and a vibrant business community. Our school mascot is a Tiger, and like a tiger, our community is strong and resilient. However, we need to do more to showcase our strengths and attract new businesses and residents.

Uncaging the Tiger means taking bold steps to promote our city and attract new investment. It means working with our business community to create new jobs and opportunities for our citizens. It means investing in our infrastructure and public amenities to make Willard an even better place to live, work, and play.

As your future mayor, I am committed to Uncaging the Tiger and building a brighter future for all residents of Willard. Let’s work together to create a stronger, more vibrant community that reflects our values and aspirations.

I understand that effective communication and collaboration are critical for any community’s growth and success. It’s clear that there is a sense of disconnection between the city government, local businesses, and community members in Willard. We need to tear down this wall!

During my tenure as City Clerk, I, along with many of you, heard concerns about the city not being business-friendly. It’s crucial to address these concerns and work towards creating a more welcoming environment for businesses to thrive. This can be achieved through open dialogue and partnerships between the city government and local business owners.

Furthermore, the success of the city is not solely dependent on one entity, but rather requires collective effort and collaboration from all members of the community. Everyone has a seat at the table, and it’s crucial to ensure that everyone is heard and included in decision-making processes.

It’s vital to prioritize effective communication and collaboration to bridge the gap between the city government, local businesses, and the community to promote the growth and success of Willard.

Transparency and openness in city government are essential for building trust and ensuring accountability to the people we serve. As a candidate for mayor of Willard, I believe that these values should be at the core of our city’s governance.

When city government operates transparently, it allows citizens to hold officials accountable and ensures that decisions are made in the best interests of the community. Openness encourages civic engagement and participation, making it easier for residents to stay informed and get involved in the decision-making process.

Transparency and openness also help to promote ethical behavior among city officials. It ensures that city business is conducted in an honest and fair manner, and that public funds are used in accordance with the law.

As your future mayor, I am committed to promoting transparency and openness in city government. I will work to establish policies and practices that prioritize transparency, such as open communication channels and public access to information. Effective communication between city government, its citizens, and business leaders is crucial for the success of our community. As a candidate for Mayor of Willard, I believe that the current communication system isn’t working and needs to be changed to better suit the needs of our citizens. 

Open communication channels with business leaders are important for fostering economic growth and development in our city. By working together, we can create policies and initiatives that support local businesses and entrepreneurs, and create more job opportunities for our residents and tax revenue to create better infrastructure.

However, effective communication isn’t just limited to business leaders; it also includes residents of all backgrounds and interests. When lines of communication are open and accessible, it allows for greater transparency and accountability in city government. It ensures that officials are responsive to the needs of the community and gives the citizens a chance to respond to issues that will impact them.

As your future mayor, I am committed to promoting better lines of communication between city government, its citizens, and business leaders. I will work to establish new communication channels that enable residents to provide feedback, ask questions, and share their ideas. By working together, we can build a more connected and engaged community that reflects the values and aspirations of all Willard residents.

Keeping the community strong is crucial for the growth and prosperity of our city.

As Mayor, I want to re-establish our community’s momentum and build upon the foundation laid in the past while working toward the future.

Recently, Willard’s Comprehensive Plan – and the process of creating it – brought together key stakeholders including citizens, business leaders, and other state and local officials, to identify shared goals and aspirations for our city’s future. However, that momentum wasn’t maintained and things reverted back to status quo.

As your future mayor, I am committed to re-establishing the sense of momentum created by the Comprehensive Plan. I will work to engage citizens, business leaders, and other officials to ensure that we are all working towards the same goals.

By continuing to implement  and improve upon the strategies outlined in the plan, we can attract new businesses, improve our infrastructure, and enhance our community amenities.

With a renewed sense of momentum, we can build a stronger, more connected community that reflects the values and needs of its residents. Let’s work together to create a better future for all residents of Willard.
